Joe Bob is met with “No,” as an answer to more questions than I can count. Tippett does not hesitate to push on any and all assumptions Joe Bob has about the creative process of creating Mad God or his interpreted meanings. In terms of being a sort-of basement masterclass in life philosophy and film, the interview is a wild success. Joe Bob makes it clear the main point of the interview is to get Tippett to accurately describe the plot of Mad God, but I don’t think he can count it a success by that metric. As well as the cult classic Starship Troopers (1997). Tippett is best known for his work on blockbuster films like Jurassic Park (1992).
TRAILER STRANGELAND MOVIE
The movie earns Joe Bob’s highest rating of four stars and Darcy’s stamp of “Weirdest Drive-In totals ever.”Īs the movie slogs its way through hell, Joe Bob interviews the Oscar-winning creator of Mad God. When Joe Bob finishes rattling off the totals, Darcy asks everyone on set to clap for the feat. “Weirdest drive-in totals ever,” says Darcy. I think we are all a bit Captain Howdy in some aspect. Did Snider go a bit too far in insane isolation? Give the movie a whirl and find out. (For the record: If you are on his show enough to have your GPS listing the target house as a ‘favourite’ then you might want to rethink your life choices.) It taps into those fears and gives us a bit of a ‘look at me!’ type venture.Ĭan you identify with Snider’s character of Captain Howdy? Isn’t that the sign of a good writer? No matter how much of a monster the villain is, there is something identifiable about the man. The movie feeds in on our fears of the online creepoid stalking the net waiting to meet either a young girl/boy or Chris Hansen.
TRAILER STRANGELAND FREE
Snider writes this film which is part creepfest and part warning of a pre-dawn internet free for all. This movie made me see Dee Snider in a different way. I remember seeing Twisted Sister live with Sebastian Bach before and stuff like that sticks with you (in a good or bad way). What brought me to the movie was Dee Snider. I think I had to rob a RedBox to watch it. ‘Stay away from Captain Howdy.’ That is the lyric, isn’t it? I saw Strangeland a few years ago.
